Shannon McLaren is currently Chief Financial Officer at Frog’s Leap Winery. In this role, she’s responsible for all aspects of the company’s financial processes including accounting, financial planning and analysis, strategic planning, and tax and treasury in addition to legal, information technology and human resources.
Shannon’s experience in wine, prior to joining Frog’s Leap, includes CFO positions with Huneeus Vintners and Crimson Wine Group (OTC Markets: CWGL) and Wente Family Estates, where she was Corporate Controller. Prior to that, she worked in both Finance and Accounting with The Clorox Company (NYSE: CLX) and spent seven years with KPMG LLP in both their Nova Scotia, Canada and Mountain View, Calif. offices. Shannon has a Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting from Cape Breton University in Nova Scotia and successfully earned both her Canadian and California CPA licenses.
Shannon has a competitive spirit and finds ways to exercise that through mountain biking and Peloton classes, always looking for her place on the leaderboard. She fulfills her passion for helping others by serving as a past board member and volunteer life coach with Girls on the Run North Bay, a non-profit that envisions a community where every girl, regardless of ethnicity, financial resources, abilities or body type, knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams.
